Extremely Rare Navajo Blanket / Rug With Confederate Flag Influence. Circa 1870. This piece was woven in the Transitional period, where Navajo weavers wove with yarns from commercial mills in Germantown, Pennsylvania. Here, the Confederate influence predominates the pattern and colours, with Native American symbolism depicted by the woven arrow motifs, throughout this highly desirable piece.
